Otto Bahizi, Political advisor to DRC Prime Minister in a meeting of the Community of Hutus, on December 7, 2022

On December 7, 2022, tensions between the leaders of the Hutu ethnic community in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)  and the Rwandan regime have escalated. The escalation followed the recent strong statements by DRC President Felix Tshisekedi in which he raised the tone against the Rwandan regime, calling it a demoniac system and urging the Congolese to help  Rwandans to overthrow the current Rwandan dictatorship.  On December 7, 2022, in a meeting with the leaders of the Community of Hutu ethnic group, Mr Otto Bahizi, the political and diplomacy advisor to the DRC Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde,  expressed his frustration with the Rwandan president and the Rwandan regime and the Congo Tutsis ethnic group.

As time passes, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) President Felix Tshisekedi has finally decided to raise the tone against the Rwandan regime, calling it a demoniac system.   DRC President Felix Tshisekedi urged the Congolese people to have empathy for and support the oppressed Rwandan people. He pressed the Congolese to actively target the Rwandan oligarch Paul Kagame and his evil minority oligarchy oppressing the Rwandan people. The statements were made during an address to the nation in a meeting with the Congolese leaders, on December 4, 2022The statements came as a reaction to the recent remarks made by the  Rwandan dictator Paul Kagame in an address to the nation, in which he blamed  Tshisekedi for using attacks and invasion of DRC by Rwandan founded, funded and supported  M23 fighters to postpone elections.

Sources within Rwandan Military Intelligence confided to an AfroAmerica Network correspondent in Kigali, Rwanda that Rwandan Military commanders were asked to assess two urgent options: getting ready to officially fight the Congolese troops of FARDC or withdrawal from DRC. The options and war games were debated during a meeting of the top commanders of the Western, Northern and Southern Military Regions led by General Jean Bosco Kazura and General Mubaraka Muganga.

Felix Tshisekedi and Paul Kagame in Gisenyi, Rwanda on June 25, 2021

After a long waiting,  and as expected following multiple reports by AfroAmerica Network,  the DRC President  Felix Tshisekedi has finally decided to expel the  Rwandan ambassador Vincent Karega. The decision was made during a security meeting held by the DRC president with his Conseil Supérieur de la Défense (Security High Commission) including top military, security and political advisors in Kinshasa, on Saturday,  October 29, 2022.
