Jasmine Felicia Crockett, 43, is an American lawyer and politician and a U.S. representative from Texas's 30th congressional district since January 2023.  She has made history this year with her unshaken positions and actions on human rights,  civil rights,  racial justice, and freedom.  Rep. Jasmine Crockett's popularity has reached new heights with her unwavering support for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) bill and initiatives and fighting for the underprivileged regardless of the race and other classifications.

Jasmine Felicia Crockett was born on March 29, 1981 in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Rhodes College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in business administration  and the University of Houston Law Center, graduating in 2006 with a Juris Doctor. According to her testimony, her commitment to civil rights and racial justice in America has been fueled by her own experience. According to her statement, while in high school, Jasmine Felicia Crockett, along with a handful of other Black students,  became the victim of a series of hate crimes. Her school leaders, to address the dire issues, had to bring in The Cochran Firm. It is from the inspiration from the lawyer in charge of the case that, that she qualifies as her "shero",   that she decided to pursue her law practice.

After graduating from Law School,  Jasmine  Crockett worked as a public defender and, at 28 years old, ran for District Attorney, becoming famous in her town.

As a civil rights attorney, she owned and ran her private practice, Crockett Law Firm. At the same time, as a member of a team of pro bono attorneys, she fought for peaceful protesters in the wake of the Black Lives Matters protests against the killings of innocent Black Americans, especially George Floyd.

Jasmine Felicia Crockett: Unwavering Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Starting as a Civil Rights Attorney Jasmine Crockett, in 2020, at age 39, she  ran for US  Congress facing and outsmarting known determined challengers.   She decided to run for  State Representative, as she said, because she was tired of empty promises from politicians and she wanted to be able to write laws to address the social issues she had seen, experienced, and weighting on the heads of voiceless people .  She  won the State Representative seat for the  Texas House District 100, defeating the incumbent seat-holder and  becoming the youngest Black lawmaker from the Dallas County delegation in the legislative session.

Determined to embark on life-changing and  ambitious,  she has,  since her win, been engaging  into actions to help change  the political landscape of the State of Texas and the US Congress initiatives. Her district covers most of South Dallas County, Central Dallas, Dallas Love Field Airport, and parts of Tarrant County.

This year 2024, the race in Texas's 30th Congressional District was between Jasmine Crockett, as the incumbent Democrat and Libertarian Jrmar Jefferson. She won by around  85%. After the win, US Representative Jasmine Crockett stated that her priorities in the new Congress starting in January 2025 will focus on national debt and immigration.

She has also stated that since Education is a right, not a privilege, she would support  The READ Act Reauthorization Act (H.R. 681) as a U.S. strategy to improve foundational literacy and numeracy in basic education.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett has increased her popularity when, during a debate in the US Congress, he  blasted  members of the Congress  who said diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts were oppressing white Americans and  who were fighting to “Dismantle DEI” bill.

Referring to the history of slavery and lynching in her remarks to highlight the oppression Black Americans have faced since being brought to the country in the 1600s, she said:
There has been no oppression for the white man in this country. You tell me which white men were dragged out of their homes. You tell me which one of them got dragged all the way across an ocean and told that you are gonna go work, we are gonna steal your wives, we are gonna rape your wives. That didn’t happen. That is oppression. We didn’t ask to be here. We not the same migrants that y’all constantly come up against. We didn’t run away from home. We were stolen. So, yeah, we are going to sit here and be offended.”

Now, as a member of the US 118th Congress, Jasmine Felicia Crockett serves as the Democratic freshman class representative between the House Democratic leadership and the (approximately) 35 newly-elected Democratic members. Jasmine Felicia Crockett served as  co-chair of the 2024 Harris-Walz campaign.

Despite the loss of the elections, due to so many challenges faced even before the campaign started and other issues, including the late nomination of Kamala Harris, a seemingly ineffective marketing strategy, and  poor activation with a focus on insignificant niches of potential voters,  Jasmine Felicia Crockett came out as a history maker, due to her unwavering support and activism for civil rights,  racial justice, and pushing for economical  opportunities for the underprivileged regardless of the race and other classifications..
