On Sunday, July 14, 2024, Serbian Novak Djokovic, 37, like last year, faced Spanish Carlos Alcaraz, 21, in Wimbledon Men's final. The match was historic, as Novak Djokovic was seeking to outscore himself with 24 Grand slams singles won and Carlos Alcaraz was one victory away to become, as Boris Becker and Bjorn Borg, one of the only men in the Open era, which began in 1968, with multiple championships at the All England Club with less than 22 years-old. At the end, their match was a repeat of the 2023 Wimbledon, hence a first time the same players met in consecutive Wimbledon men finals since Djokovic beat Roger Federer in 2014 and 2015. And, once again, Carlos Alcaraz won, but only in three sets this time, and retained the Wimbledon Title.
As expected, Novak Djokovic tried hard to show resilience against Carlos Alcaraz. But, he couldn't and Carlos Alcaraz exhibited an incredible performance and triumphed over the seven-time champion Djokovic for the second time in a row at Wimbledon with a score of 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (4).
Since last year's Wimbledon Final, Novak Djokovic had beaten Carlos Alcaraz twice, at the ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati and the Nitto ATP Finals. Hence in their match in Wimbledon Final, the stakes were high and both Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz were expected to show more resilience and stand their ground. Carlos Alcaraz easily won the first two sets and faced a challenge in the third set. Novak Djokovic tried hard in the third set, already trailing by two sets 2-6, 2-6, going all way to a 5-5 tie. It didn't work for him, at the end.
Carlos Alcaraz, who is currently ranked world No 3 and has been ranked world No. 1 in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals, has been making huge progresses that have paid off. With the win, he has earned his four-time grand slam title and became one of the only two men, along with Roger Federer, to win their first four grand slam finals.

Carlos Alcaraz was defending his first grand slam title and also trying to win multiple grand slam titles in the same year.
He won the U.S. Open in 2022. In Wimbledon men finals of 2023, Carlos Alcaraz overcame a major challenge in the first set and was able to beat Novak Djokovic 1-6, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4, winning his second career grand slam a and is 3-0 in major finals.
Despite injuries during his preparation for Rolland Garros, he was able to win the French Open against gainst Alexander Zverev with 3-6, 6-2, 7-5, 1-6, 2-6 on June 9, 2024. Hence he has been able to triumph on both Roland Garros grass and Wimbledon clay.
With the win, Carlos Alcaraz has made history and continued on an expected long track, as he is still only 22 years old..
