Former US President Jimmy Carter has died. He was 100 years old. According to the Carter Center, former President Jimmy Carter died peacefully at his home in Plains, Georgia, surrounded by his family after two years in a hospice hospital. Jimmy Carter died a year after his wife Rosalynn Carter passed away at 96. James Earl Carter Jr., Jimmy Carter, viewed as a role model of former US Presidents, was the longest living former commander-in-chief in U.S. history.
