Former President Donald Trump is officially the Republican Presidential Candidate for   November's US presidential elections. His running mate will be  Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance who, according to several reports, was selected on his son  Donald Trump Jr's advice despite  being a strong critic turned ally.  The announcement was made on the first day of the Republican National Convention  at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, where  former President Donald Trump  appeared with a bandage on his ear and very emotional just two days  after he was wounded in an assassination attempt at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday evening.

J.D. Vance, 39,  is a venture capitalist and the author of the best-selling memoir “Hillbilly Elegy".  His memoir recounted his family background of blue-collar upbringing and  the influence it had on  his politics and worldview.  J.D. Vance's  military service, his Ivy League education, and his wife Usha Vance's  East Indian family background and democratic experience have also solidified his reputation.  Initially a critic of Former President Donald Trump, he has progressively aligned with him  on the politics regarding immigration, economy, and foreign policy.

Following the nomination, President Joe Biden was quick to comment on Ohio Sen J.D Vance, telling the reporters that “He’s a clone of Trump on the issues.”
On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, President Joe Biden is scheduled to speak at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Former President Donald Trump, 78,  as the Republican Presidential Candidate is on a ride fueled by popular support and the challenges faced by the Democratic Party following President Joe Biden's controversial performance  in the last debate with Donald Trump.  Some key Democratic Party leaders along with voters have  been  asking that  Joe Biden, 81, withdraws from the race, due to his age.

Donald Trump's History as  A  Phenomenal Phenomenon in US Presidential Elections.

In August 2015, only few news media believed Donald Trump, the US Republican Presidential candidate was believable. AfroAmerica Network was one of them. This is what AfroAmerica Network published on August 15, 2015.
"You may accuse him of other things. What is sure is that he speaks his mind, and his supporters and even the American mainstream are liking it. The person is the US Presidential candidate Donald Trump. When he srtarted, few believed that Donald Trump was serious. Then he had that speech about Mexican immigrants. Subsequently, the polls in his favor shot into the roof.  He has been dominating the Republican landfield to date... Yes, Donald Trump has become more and more presidential, mainstream, and a candidate to be reckoned with. And his message appears believable,... less political, that means apparently heartfelt, not hypocritically political". (see Donald Trump on AfroAmerica Network here)"

As times went,  Donald Trump conquered the US voters, beat any real or perceived opponent. Republican contenders started dropping like flies. From 17 or maybe more Republican candidates who started, 3 ran to the end, then two have geve up, leaving the field all to Donald Trump. He become the president.

Donald Trump  won on Tuesday November 8, 2016.   Donald Trump's victory rocked America and the World, shocking the so-called mainstream media, pundits, pollsters and others. They had  gotten it wrong.

How did  Donald Trump  win then? Actually, as AfroAmerica Network had assessed the real loser was the Democratic Party. The party had hard time to rally its dispirited members. Briefly, the Democratic Party, divided, demoralized, and mistrusted, was unable to challenge Donald Trump.

In the end, Donald Trump and his campaign director of African-American Outreach Apprentice star Omarosa Manigault celebrated the win and became the   a Phenomenal Phenomenon in the US Presidential Race.

Then, in 2020, despite the support and even endorsements from a wide range of voters including Black stars, he lost elections. In fact famous Black stars such as Cash Money superstar Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. Kanye West, known as Yeezy,  Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., known as Weezy, Curtis James Jackson III, known as 50 Cent, and O'Shea Jackson, known as Ice Cube had shown their strong support.  However, Donal Trump candidacy was challenged and complicated by the political landscape and major events, including COVID-19,  racial injustice issues, demonstrations, and political tensions and divisiveness. Omarosa Manigault had, of course, disappeared. (see US 2020 Presidential Elections: President Trump Seemingly Supported by Some Key Black Rappers, including Yeezy, Weezy, 50 Cent, and Ice Cube).

Now, once again, Former President Donald Trump is the official Republican Presidential Candidate. Based on the focus of his campaign, for  Donald Trump and his supporters there are now only two candidates: Donald Trump on the Republican and Joe Biden on the  Democratic side.

But the supporters appear to have forgotten, or perhaps intentionally dismissed , the elephant in the room. In fact, with the dynamics going on within the Democratic Party,  will President Joe Biden, even though he keeps saying that he is committed to remain in the race,   be the final Democratic Party candidate?

How about the other challengers in the background:  Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a nephew of former President John F. Kennedy,  Professor Cornell West, famous Ivy League teacher at Yale, Princeton and Harvard and now at Union Theological Seminary, and Jill Stein, a physician on the Green Party ticket and  Chase Oliver, the Libertarian candidate?

A stunning political race against the phenomenal phenomenon Donald Trump is expected over the months to come.
