Bobi Wine arrested during the campaign on Nov 3, 2020

On January 14, 2021 Ugandans will cast their votes for their next president. The main candidates  are Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, 76, the current president and Africa's third longest-serving dictator, and Ugandan prominent opposition politician and music star, Bobi Wine, 38, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi.  Early this week, Yoweri Museveni told the Western Media why he remains in power, arguing that Ugandans are fools who lack a sense of direction, the Western media are full of ignorant and arrogants and that the United States has democracy because it was built on slavery. 

Removed Yale University's Twitter Banner with Paul Kagame

 Yale University has promptly removed a Twitter banner promoting the Rwandan dictator General Paul Kagame. Although the reasons are unknown, it appears the banner was removed under pressure from activists, students, and professors and in light of recent publications by reknown authors and the United Nations Security Council,     AfroAmerica Network has received information on the compelling reasons behind Yale University's swift removal of the Twitter banner. Below are some the reasons.

Sources close to the president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC),  Felix Tshisekedi,  have been telling  AfroAmerica Network that his closest aides have pregressively increased their warnings against his collaboration with the former President Joseph Kabila since he got in power, almost two years ago. The failed coalition between Felix Tshisekedi's front, CACH (Cap pour le Changement)  and Joseph Kabila's FCC (Front Commun pour le Congo),  has now exploded into a national crisis that is threatening the institutions of the country. The crisis has pushed Felix Tshisekedi to address the nation on Sunday December 6, 2020. In a seemingly long-awaited speech of about 30 minutes, Felix Tshisekedi disclosed the proposals presented to him by his advisers and the people he said he has been consulting.  Beyond an endless list of problems, roadblocks, conflicts, mismanagements,  crises, and challenges,   the main point disclosed in the speech is the end of the government coalition between his CASH and Joseph Kabila's FCC.

Bobi Wine arrested during the campaign on Nov 3, 2020

On 18 November 2020, Ugandan prominent opposition politician and music star, Bobi Wine whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi, was arrested again.  Following his arrest, thousands of his supporters protested in the capital Kampala. The police, the army, local defense units, plain-cloth officers and intelligence operatives crushed the protests with  heavy violence, including shooting with live amunitions and automatic weapons, and driving police and military cars and trucks straight into the marching masses.

 Following the arrests and the killings, the situation is tense in Uganda, with the Ugandan dictator Yoweri Museveni accusing foreigh powers and homosexuals of being behind the riots and funding the opposition.

John Magufuli in Nov 5, 2020 Swearing-in Ceremony

Tanzania's incumbent President John Pombe Magufuli of the ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM),  re-elected for a second term, has been sworn in on November 5, 2020. He will lead the country for the second and final term, as provided by the Tanzanian Constitution. Alfred Nkubili, Rwandan Businessman with Rwandan President General Paul Kagame

Alfred Nkubili, a Rwandan businessman who, according to sources within Rwandan intelligence services was kidnapped at his house on Friday, July 03, 2020 by President Paul Kagame's security forces, has been back in court (see AfroAmerica Network: Rwanda: How Businessman Alfred Nkubili Became Paul Kagame's Target; Who are behind Bailing Him Out and Who is Next). On November 2, 2020, a court, known as Gasabo District Court,  decided to keep Alfred Nkubili in jail for until late December 2020. The aling Alfred Nkubili  was demanding his release and requesting to be monitored outside due to his grave illness.  The decision was announced at Kigali University Hospital, CHUK, where he is being treated.
