On Sunday, July 10, 2022, Serbia's Novak Djokovic, 35, won Wimbledon Title for the fourth time in a row, after defeating Australia's Nick Kyrgios, 27, in the final match. With the win, Novak Djokovic has now a record seventh title at the Wimbledon All England Club.
In the first set, it appeared that the odds were in Nick Kyrgios' favor, after winning the set 6-4. Even before the match, several projections were in his favor. But, unexpectedly, the top seed Novak Djokovic came back, rallied and won the match against Nick Kyrgios at the Wimbledon grass-court major, completing a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(3) victory.
With the win, he matched Pete Sampras' score of 7 titles at the All England Club. He is also just one win short of matching the record held by Roger Federer at Wimbledon and one Grand Slam title short behind Rafael Nadal’s 22 major wins.
Djokovic' comeback after the first set was fueled by his efforts to confront the powerful servings by Nick Kyrgios, counter attacking with his own powerful aces, and chasing the ball in all the corners of the court. Over the match, Novak Djokovic scored 15 aces and won 83 per cent (62/75) of points whereas Kyrgios scored 70 per cent (64/91).
All eyes are now Nick Kyrgios given these on-going dynamics.

In fact, until the match, Nick Kyrgios had managed to beat Djokovic in the three attempts in first tour-level.
Novak Djokovic was dropped from the Australian Open in January, 2022 for refusing to get vaccinated for COVID-19. He competed in the French Open, but was eliminated in the quarter final.
He will not compete in the US Open scheduled for August and September, 2022 because he has not yet received the COVID-19 vaccine. Hence, the eyes will be on Nick Kyrgios.
