Kenyan Dennis Kimetto Wins Marathon's World Record
Dennis Kimetto from Kenya has won World marathon record in Berlin. The 30 year old Kenyan is the first to run the marathon under 2h and 3 minutes. He overrun another Kenyan Emmanuel Mutai. Early this year, another Kenyan Wilson Kipsang had set the World record at 2h 3 minutes and 23 seonds.
Nigerian Blessing Okagbare Wins 200 m and Her Second Gold in 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games
Nigerian sprinter Blessing Okagbare has, on Friday August 1, 2014, won her second gold in the 2014 Commonwealth games being held in Glasgow. She crossed the 200 m finish line with an increadible speed and well ahead of her competitors, in a time of 22.25 seconds.
On Monday, Blessing had crossed the 100 meter finish line in 10.85 seconds to win the gold (see here).

Nigerian sprinter Blessing Okagbare has won the gold in the 2014 Commonwealth games being held in Glasgow. Blessing crossed the 100 meter finish line in 10.85 seconds, setting the Commonwealth record and her best.
Whe outrunned the Jamaican favorites, Veronica Campbell-Brown and Kerron Stewart. The ease and relaxed demeanor with which she crossed the finish line pointed to the potential of improving her score even further in future games. She still has the 200 m and the long jump to compete in and, perhaps, win more medals.
