Nanning - China. US AfroAmerican teenager Simone Biles has retained her all-around World Woman Gymnastics title and helped the US Women Gymnastics team win its second straight gold. She dominated the floor exercise and beat the Chinese champion, Bai Yawen, by 0.067 points on the beam.
Kenyan Dennis Kimetto Wins Marathon's World Record
Dennis Kimetto from Kenya has won World marathon record in Berlin. The 30 year old Kenyan is the first to run the marathon under 2h and 3 minutes. He overrun another Kenyan Emmanuel Mutai. Early this year, another Kenyan Wilson Kipsang had set the World record at 2h 3 minutes and 23 seonds.
Nigerian Blessing Okagbare Wins 200 m and Her Second Gold in 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games
Nigerian sprinter Blessing Okagbare has, on Friday August 1, 2014, won her second gold in the 2014 Commonwealth games being held in Glasgow. She crossed the 200 m finish line with an increadible speed and well ahead of her competitors, in a time of 22.25 seconds.
On Monday, Blessing had crossed the 100 meter finish line in 10.85 seconds to win the gold (see here).
