Usain Bolt, World Championships, Beijing August 29, 2015

Mo Farah, the Somali born, Brish Athlete has claimed the first distance triple-bouble, after winning 5,000 m and 10,000 at the World Championships held in Beijing, China from August 22-30, 2015. He won the same races twice, before: the London Olympics of 2012 and teh World Championships held in Moscow, Russia, from August 10-18, 2013.

Mo Farah, 32, has now outperformed the Ethiopian Kenenisa Bekele,  the only other person to claim 'double-double' in the distance events. He has  five World Championship golds, two Olympic golds and five European golds.

American Serena Williams beats Spaniard Garbine Muguruza in Wimbledon and wins Her 21 th Grand Slam title

The Women Tennis world number one, American Serena Williams, has defeated promising Venezuela-born Spaniard Garbine Muguruza to win her sixth Wimbledon singles and her 21th Grand Slam title. Earlier this year, Serena Williams had won her fifth French Open. With the Wimbledon single, she has won, for the second time in her career, four straight majors. She has called "four straight majors" a Serena Slam, saying, after the win, "I can't believe I'm standing here with another Serena Slam"

Serena Williams Wins 2015 French Open

The Women Tennis world number one, American Serena Williams, has defeated world number 13, Lucie Safarova, from the Czek Republic, to win her fifth French Open and her 20th Grand Slam title. Suring this French Open,  she has faced multiple challenge, including an illness since Thursday, and mounted comeback after comeback.  By winning, she cimented her record over both Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert in the number  of major singles titles.
