Simone Biles, 27,  the most decorated gymnast in the World championships history, the recipient of the US Medal of Freedom,  and the first female gymnast to win six all-around world titles is getting ready for the next Olympics: The 2024 Paris Olympics. With other female US gymnasts, she started her preparation on May 18-19, 2024 at Core Hydration Classic. She will be facing two more  famous female gymnasts.

Core Hydration Classic competition is a qualifier for the US Gymnastics championships to be held in Fort Worth, Texas  on May 30 - June 2, 2024 and Minneapolis, Minnesota on June 21-26, 2024. The results at the two nationals will determine the selected participants to the Olympic trials to be held on June 27-30, 2024 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics is a major event for Simon Biles. Her challenges started during the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, when she  stumbled upon landing after competing in vault during the Women's Team Final, experiencing the twisties.

Although Simone Biles won a bronze in the balance beam in Tokyo, she decided to take  an extended break from gymnastics after the  2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. She returned to gymanastics competitions in 2023.
Since then, she was able to win five medals, including four golds  and a silver at the world championships. Hence, she  became the most decorated male or female gymnast ever across both the Olympics and the world championships. In fact, she bettered Belarusian Vitaly Scherbo’s record of 33 overall medals.

In 2022, then  the most decorated American gymnast in history, was awarded the Medal of Freedom for her courageous and relentless  advocacy  for victims of sexual assault, civil rights, and health care (US - Freedom: US Gymnast Simone Biles Awarded Medal of Freedom by President Joe Biden, Becoming the Youngest Person to Receive the Medal).
