WNBA 2023 Championship Finals as of October 22, 2023

On October 18, 2023, the 2023 WNBA Finals ended. The Las Vegas Aces (LVA) outperformed the New York Liberty to end with another historical win.  Las Vegas Aces A'ja Wilson won the Finals MVP. The award was also a culmination of an exciting season, in which the Aces aced the championship despite some key players facing major challenges. The attention are now shifting to the upcoming NBA and who will dominate the 2023 - 2024 season.

In 2024, Olympic Games will be held in Paris, France. Among the sports included is Basketball. The USA Basketball team will be there, chasing the fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal. Following the loss of FIBA World Cup in August 2023, the Olympics will be critical and highly competitive for the USA Basketball team. However, the USA just got a key player:  76 ers player Joel Embiid, the reigning NBA MVP. Joel Embiid decided to join USA team, instead of the team of his native country Cameroon, where he grew up until he was  16 years-old and France, where he is a naturalized citizen. 

Simone Biles Win All-Around Gold Medal at Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, October 6, 2023

Simone Biles,  the most decorated gymnast in the World championships history  and the recipient of the US Medal of Freedom has added a new medal to her count. On  Friday, October 6, 2023,  Simone Biles, 26,  added another  gold medal to her collection. With the medal, she becomes the most decorated gymnast in history and the first female gymnast to win six all-around world titles.
