DRC political leader Vital Kamerhe becomes Felix Tshisekedi's Chief of Staff

What is next?),  the new Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) president, Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo has, today on Jan 25, 2019, appointed his campaign manager Vital Kamerhe  to be his Chief of Staff. With the appointment, Vital Kamerhe has finaly made an important step towards his long term goal of becoming one of the most influential DRC political leaders.

"I would like to thank those who voted for me. I also thank  those who did not vote for me. Today, Congo has won. It's not the victory of one side against another. I have engaged in this campaign to reconcile the Congolese with themselves, I commit myself to that. Tomorrow, the Congo we are going to build  will not be a Congo marked by division, hatred and tribalism. It will be a reconciled Congo, a strong Congo, focused on  its development in peace and security for all."

It is in these terms that Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi, the newly elected president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) acknoweldged his victory in the recent controversial elections.

Adeline Rwigara and Mother Adeline Acquitted on Dec 6, 2018

On Thursday Dec 6, 2018, exactly 2 months after they were released from jail on bail, Diane Shima Rwigara, a leading critic of Rwandan dictator Paul Kagame and opposition leader, was acquitted of all charges, along with her mother Adeline Mukamugemanyi-Rwigara.
