PATERSON, N.J. –   Patterson, New Jersey based rapper Willie Maxwell, known as Fetty Wap, had a good surprise in store for his neighbors for the 2015 Thanksgiving. He decided to distribute a truckload of turkeys to the families and people in need in his hometown.

On November 25, 2015, the rapper Fetty Wap,  well known for hits songs, such as  "Trap Queen", and his RGF Management team,  parked a truck in his northern New Jersey hometown and started distributing the turkey to a long line of residents. With warm hugs, he reaffirmed his motto "unity brings force".

With the help of volunteers and the Patterson City Council member Ruby Cotton,  Fetty Wap distributed  than 250 turkeys. The donation follows an earlier, close but different act in the neighboring town of Paramus, NJ. Earlier this week, he decided to  throw money off a balcony at the Garden State Plaza Mall to the passers by.

Talking to the media, Fetty  said that, growing up, he was so poor he had to plate-hop to get a decent meal.

The 25-year-old Fatty Wap's hits include "My Way", "679", "Trap Queen", and "Again"
