Apple's Gather Round event showcases iPhone XS, XS Max & XR, Apple Watch Series 4

During "Gather Round" event, on Sep 12, 2018, Apple introduced the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR, as well as the Apple Watch Series 4. Apple also announced the release of iOS 12, tvOS 12, watchOS 5, and macOS Mojave. The three new iPhones included the high-end flagship OLED iPhone XS and XS Max in 5.8 and 6.5-inch screen sizes and the new lower-priced iPhone XR. iPhone XR features an LCD display and six color options.

The new Apple Watch, known as Series 4,  has major advanced features. The features include slimmer bodies, bigger displays, a faster S4 chip, a haptic Digital Crown, and support for taking electrocardiogram (ECG) readings.  Perhaps  on of the most intriguing features  on Apple Watch Series 4 is the ability to take a full ECG reading.

Apple Watch  Series 4 Display is  up to 35 percent larger than that of  Series 3, with minimal changes to the case size. Apple Watch Series 4 showcases the 64-bit dual-core S4 processor,  up to two times faster than the S3 processor found on the Series 3, according to Apple. The faster processor would increase speed and capabilities in opening apps and performing other functions. 

Apple Watch Series 4 has also several other advanced features, including better cellular service, louder speaker with better sound quality, and Bluetooth 5.0.


iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are Apple's latest advanced iPhones,  with advanced technology and features ever.  iPhone  XS has  a size of 5.8-inch, whereas iPhone XS has 6.5-inch. Both have OLED displays and a high pixel density,  with support for Dolby Vision, HDR 10, and Wide Color. 

The stainless steel frames and glass bodies of  iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max support wireless charging. Both have  edge-to-edge displays and a TrueDepth Camera System for Face ID.

IPhone XS and XS Max have the next-generation 8-core Neural Engine, the storage  can be 64, 216 or  512GB,  an A12 chip, and a battery life that lasts for 30 minutes longer  for XS than iPhone X, and  an hour and a half longer for iPhone XS Max.  

iPhone XR, which is priced lower has also advanced features with  all-new LCD Liquid Retina display,  faster Face ID, and a faster chip for comparable X models.   Prices go from $1099 to $1499 for X and XS, and Apple Watch Series for price goes from $399.
