US President Joe Biden signs the Juneteenth National Holiday bill with Opal Lee attending, June 17 2021

 June 19th, 2022, the US  nation is celebrating Juneteenth as a National Holiday. The celebration is the second  following the event held on Thursday, June 17, 2020,  when US President Joe Biden signed a bill into law, making June 19 a national holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved black Americans.

The signature event was attended by Opal Lee. Opal Lee, affectionately known as the grandmother of Juneteenth by Blacks and those concerned who have been following her fight, is 95 years-old.

Nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson for the US Supreme Court, Feb 25, 2022

On February 25, 2022 US President Joe Biden nominated Ms Ketanji Brown Jackson to be the first Black woman to serve as a US Supreme Court Justice. The nomination was viewed as another step forward in seeking racial justice and equality. Today, on April 7, 2022 the US Senate has confirmed Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court.

In 2022, like in 2020, Georgia is expected to play a major role in US politics. In 2020, Georgia played a major role in electing Joe Biden as the US President, and for Democrats control of the US Senate by electing 2 democratic candidates who won in the two runoff elections. AfroAmerica Network Black Woman of 2018, Stacey Yvonne Abrams, through Fair Fight Action, played a major role. Now, it is her turn to add to the history.  Stacey Abrams, a voting rights activist,  has announced her candidacy for the Governor of Georgia. Meanwhile, a new upcoming Black leader won a key election: Andre Dickens has been elected the new mayor of Atlanta Georgia.

Kagame, 31-years-old, has been linked to mansions worth almost $9 million, in Scarsdale, New York and Beverly Hills, CA. News and reports have been reporting on the wealth of one of the African dictators, Paul Kagame and the extravagant life and acquisitions of properties by him and his family members and close aides around the World, especially in the United States. In 2018, there were reports, that Paul Kagame’s son, Ivan C. Kagame, then 27 years-old, had bought a mansion in a New York’s upper-class neighborhood of Scarsdale for $2 millions dollars.

Tulsa Black Massacre of 1921: President Joe Biden about to Deliver Remarks

On May 31 and June 1, 1921, a systematic massacre of Blacks lasted more than sixteeen hours in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On June 1, 2021, US President Joe Biden became the first president of the US history to officially honor the victims and to promise changes. He was commemorating the 100th Anniversary in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During his remarks, he said that he was filling the silence that has lasted a century, raised the major problem of white supremacy in teh US, and announced initiatives to address racial injustice, racial inequalities, and economic bias againt the Blacks and  Brown people in the US.
