Over the last two decades, the World international investors have focused on BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, and China). During the two decades, the economies of the four BRIC countries have grown to unparalleled levels.
China has now become the second World largest economy, behind the United States, and ahead of Germany. Then, the 2008-2012 economic crisis hit. Investors had to take another look at their priorities, including evaluating their BRIC strategy. China has managed
to maintain its economy rather stable.
However, what is interesting is that China has focused its investments into the untapped market overlooked by other rich countries:Africa. Africa has become the darling of Chinese Investors. Chinese investments have expanded from minerals, to oil, timber, agriculture, and infrastructure. The success of China in Africa has attracted several other investors. Corporations located in G8 countries no longer hide their intentions and plans regarding investing in Africa.
