Rwandan Rebels Reinforcing in the Kivu, Sources Say

Sources in the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) inform AfroAmerica Network that Rwandan rebels have been reinforcing in the Kivu, the province Eastern DRC.

According to the sources, Rwandan rebel troops were seen in the areas of Kazibaje, in the Localite of Lukweti/Ndurumo, Groupement of Bashari/Mukoto in North Kivu province.
The rebel troops, numbering 4000, have been seen in the area since Sunday December 16, 2012. They made a junction with the 2,500 rebel troops already in the areas of Macumbi, Nyagisozi, Nyanga, Mumo and Hembe. Witnesses claims to have also seen unidentified helicopters supplying the rebels. One helicopter landed in Kivuye where military officers convened with the rebel commander known as Bakota based there.
