Sources in Eastern DRC inform AfroAmerica Network that mercenaries working for the brother of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni are involved in fightings in Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
The mercenaries, allegedly working as private military contractors for international organizations, are part of the security forces of the firm Saracen which belongs to Salim Saleh, the Brother of Yoweri Museveni.
According to the sources both in Eastern DRC and in Kampala, these Saracem mercenaries have entered in DRC in March 2012 following the mutiny of the soldiers loyal to the renegade General Bosco Ntaganda, who is accused of war crimes.
General Bosco Ntaganda has rebelled since March 2012, after learning that the COngolese Government wanted to arrest him (see our article: DRC President Joseph Kabila Officially Announces Imminent Arrestation of General Bosco Ntaganda .
Some sources said that the Saracem mercenaries also work on some missions, especially the protection of compounds for international and humanitarian organizations in Uganda and Eastern DRC.
Saracen has been involved in several mercenary activities across the Great Lakes and the Horn regions of Africa.
